Dan Wiersgalla – Supervisor & Senior Sea Kayak Guide
As a graduate from Vermilion College with an Outdoor Leadership degree I have found the perfect place to work and play!
As a young kid my dad would bring my little brother and me up to Copper Harbor looking for rocks and biking. One day I wondered into Keweenaw Adventure Company (KAC) and met the owner Sam. At that point, as a young little green bean, I knew I wanted to work in the Harbor.
I would later go on to receive a 
summer internship at KAC, move full-time to the U.P and eventually become a KAC Supervisor and Senior Sea Kayak Guide. This will be my third season and my second summer leading tours to one of the most inspirational National Parks, Isle Royale.
While I’m not working I can be found enjoying the surrounding 
natural beauty by kayak or bike and occasionally by rope on some of the Keweenaws steepest cliff faces. I love everything outside and adventure. I have a passion for adventuring with people of all ages and capabilities. I’m looking forward to having one of the best summers in Copper Harbor.
