John
grew up in Rollingstone, MN and graduated high school in 2009.
He had been actively participating in scouting most of his
life, achieving the Eagle rank in 2008. His main outdoor hobby
is hiking and backpacking, although he will be down with rock
climbing, biking, long boarding, and anything else in the
outdoors.
John has a huge
passion for traveling. Some of his top travels include the
Great Barrier Reef, Niagara Falls and Beartooth Mountains
and several states. He has recently been an ACA (American
Canoe Association) Certified kayak instructor from Vermilion
Community College and is excited to be paddling on Lake Superior.
John is also a certified Wilderness First Responder (WFR).
For the past two years he has been living in Ely, MN attending
Vermilion Community College acquiring an Outdoor Leadership
AS degree.
