Mo Anton
grew up in Chicago, but longed for the outdoors. Her first
adventures were climbing trees and camping out in the backyard.
She joined Girl Scouts at an early age. This enabled her to
expand her camping, swimming and boating experience. She started
swimming lessons and canoeing at Camp White Tail. Her mother
cried when she returned from camp with 1.6 million mosquito
bites (and a smile). This was the beginning of her outdoor
life. She eventually moved to Wisconsin to attend college
and stayed for 10 years. She longed to be "up north" and moved
to Ontonagon in 1991 after being captivated by the splendor
of Lake Superior. Mo enjoys rock climbing, camping and river
trips with the 4-H Nonesuch Challenge Club. She has also supported
local radio with her new music show, "Put Some Sauce on It!"
on WOAS-FM (in Ontonagon). Her favorite music is what she
hasn't heard yet. She reads too much, gardens a little, practices
yoga and especially loves sharing her love of the water and
the outdoors. At Keweenaw Adventure Company, her work is play.
