Ryan Boushee – Supervisor & Head Mechanic

ryan1I was born and raised in the Midwest and love nearly everything the outdoors has to offers — I can’t be outside enough!

Since I can remember, I have been building trail and riding bikes. At a young age I started constructing a bike park in my back yard only because there was nowhere else to ride. As I got older the jumps got bigger and the bikes got more expensive.

My first real mountain bike trip was to Copper Harbor with former Keweenaw Adventure Company employee, Jerry Smith, and my brother Cory Boushee. It was there where I discovered “real” mountain bike trails, and when I returned from that trip I found myself more dedicated then ever to trail building. Over the course of two years a small group of us built Bemidji’s first “skills park” that included a pump track, drops and jumps.

I am a bicycle technician by trade and have the philosophy that it is best to never stop learning. This year I graduated with a Sales, Marketing and Management Degree, focused on small business, and I plan to stay in the outdoor industry to further my knowledge and experience in this field. ryan_wheely
My future goal is to be running my very own bike shop someday!

When I’m not mountain biking I enjoy hunting and hiking the Beltrami state forest in northern Minnesota and kayak fishing the Mississippi river. I also enjoy sea kayaking, rock climbing and ADVENTURING with friends — plus I always love to meet new people and make new friends.

In the winter I spend my time snowboarding, snowmobiling and working at a ski and bike shop in East Grand Forks, MN.
