Hello Everyone! My name is Stephanie and this will be my second summer working with the crew at Keweenaw Adventure Company (KAC). I’m excited to spend the summer in this gorgeous town on the shores of Lake Superior.
My own Keweenaw adventures started when I was a student at Michigan Tech. As a student, I enjoyed skiing at Mont Ripley and joined ski patrol. My friends on the ski patrol encouraged me to try mountain biking. It quickly became one of my favorite outdoor activities; I even participated in the Trails Festival Dock Jump in 2016!
Post-college, I found myself in various engineering jobs. Unfortunately, most of my work involved me being stuck behind a desk. Missing the hands-on aspect of engineering that I enjoyed in school, I decided to take a leap of faith and make a career change. This decision led me back to one of my favorite places, Copper Harbor.
When I’m not skiing or biking, I enjoy crocheting, hanging out with my dog, backpacking, and taking my jeep off the beaten path. I’ve been known to be a bit of a goofball, whether it’s skiing around in a funny costume or starting spontaneous dance parties. (Life is too short to worry about looking cool.) I’m looking forward to having tons of fun this summer and helping you to have the best Keweenaw experience possible!
