Michigan Mountain Bike Rentals

State-of-the-art Mountain Bike Rentals in Copper Harbor, Michigan!

Offering some of the best selections of Michigan mountain bike rentals, we pride ourselves on the fact that we sell the majority of our used rental bikes at the end of each season and in turn, reinvest in new, top of the line bikes at the start of every year to ensure a high-quality experience for our customers. Our mountain bikes are not used for more than two seasons before they move on to a new home.

“Copper Harbor Singletrack Rocks!!!”

Designated as an “IMBA “silver level” ”Ride Center” in 2012,  our trail system is ranked among some of the best in the world due to our variety of gateway, cross-country, flow and gravity trails, in addition to being a mountain biker friendly community.

Centrally located in “downtown” Copper Harbor, the principal mountain bike trailhead is conveniently located right across the street from Keweenaw Adventure Company’s retail shop, behind the Copper Harbor Welcome Center. Our system is a well-established network of nearly 40-miles of marked and mapped singletrack trails that include some of the most unique, scenic and thrilling mountain biking in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Additionally, miles and miles of logging roads and jeep trails traverse the uninhabited tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula, with access to remote Lake Superior shorelines, State Forest and conservancy lands, which add another dimension for gravel riding and for the more adventurous explorers.

What’s more, we have several levels of mountain bike rentals to suit every riders needs and ambitions! With mountain biking as one of our primary activities, we offer a variety of quality rides by both Kona and Trek to best experience our world-class trail system! From Enduro/Technical Trail mountain bikes for the adrenaline fanatics to Dual-Suspension models equipped with 29” and 27.5 wheels for the cross-country enthusiasts, to hard-tail 29ers for the climbing purists and those just getting into the sport,we have a bike that’s right for you!

Our Bike Rental Options:

Mountain Bikes

Our “high-end” technical trail/enduro bikes are suited for all mountain use, though favor the downhill and technical trail aspects. Featuring Kona Process 153 DL and Trek Remedy 8’s, these bikes are equipped with 160mm travel forks and at least 150mm rear shock travel that befit riding Copper Harbor’s most aggressive downhill trails. These bikes are all equipped with dropper posts and are especially popular for our downhill shuttle service.

Our Trek Fuel EX 7 and Kona Process 134 and Hei-Hei Trail dual-suspension bikes are our most popular rentals and are great all-mountain bikes for both climbing and descending. Standard equipped dropper posts and with front and rear shock travel ranging from 120-140mm depending, these bikes shine on all day cross country rides or charging down tricky descents.

We also offer hard-tail 29ers that are perfect for cross-country purists or novices just wanting to give mountain biking a try. Featuring Kona Honzo 29 and Honzo 29 AL, our entry level bikes are a good way to explore Copper Harbor’s “gateway trails” and less technical riding options.

Kids Mountain Bikes

The kiddos will love our Kona Honzo 20 and 24 hard tail mountain bikes! With Shimano1x drive train, hydraulic disc brakes, tan-walled tires and air-sprung suspension forks (50mm and 65mm travel respectively), the Honzos are little ripping machines that may help to foster a life-long love of the sport.

We also have strider bikes (bikes with no pedals – think Flinstone-esque) for the smallest kids not yet bike enough to ride a 2 wheeler.

Fat Bikes

If you’ve ever wanted to give Fat Biking a try, our Kona Wo sets the gold standard. Equipped with a 12 speed drive train and 26 x4.8” tires, these bikes are ready to roll on the trails even during the non-snow months.

Comfort Bikes

Built more for comfort, rather than performance, these 24-speed bikes come equipped with a generous saddle and a suspension seat post, as well as a front shock. Comfort bikes are great for a casual spin around town or for some moderate, off-road riding on the many dirt roads and two-tracks surrounding Copper Harbor.
