Brian Rajdl

Meet Brian – Senior Sea Kayak Guide & Isle Royale Guide

Brian has been guiding wilderness experiences for all ages for the past 25 years, by trail or kayak.  Much of his early kayak guiding has been at Isle Royale National Park and more recent guiding through the Keweenaw Adventure Company.  He is a naturalist as much as a guide and brings clients a depth of local knowledge of flora and fauna.  He has been climbing rock and ice for 25 years and has traveled extensively to climb, from bouldering in Namibia, to the big walls of Yosemite.

In the past half-decade he has started  guiding ice rock climbing professionally for Michigan Ice Fest and continuing his professional credentials through the AMGA.

Brian has 3 daughters that often climb and kayak with him and a son who is seeking to become a professional guide alongside his dad including working at the KAC!

Brian is also an avid surfer, mountain biker, whitewater kayaker, and a beginner kite flyer.  He runs a school for homeschoolers which leaves his summers open to travel and guide.
