I grew up in Evanston, Illinois where I spent a lot of time at the beach when it was warm and even more time behind a tv playing video games when it was cold. The only deviation from my usual flat roads and uniform sidewalks was when my family would visit my grandparents’ cabin in the U.P.

Every summer since I was 4, we would take a trip to see them and explore the woods and rocks. There I got to know the beauty of the Keeweenaw peninsula and discover the world of mountain biking.

I love being outdoors, not so much stuck inside a classroom. Therefore, after high school I decided to continue pursuing my passion in the wilderness: I have worked with a conservation corps in California, thru-hiked part of the Appalachian Trail and spent my winters snowboarding. I am excited to continue my outdoor adventures with the KAC.
