Simon

Meet Simon – Sea Kayak Guide & Shuttle Driver

Simon grew up in Indiana and started riding mountain bikes before he knew where they’d take him. That instinct—to move, explore, and figure things out along the way—has shaped everything since.

He’s guided whitewater in Tennessee, worked long days beet farming in Michigan, lived on a remote island in Alaska running skiff boats producing millions of salmon, and cooked in the desert heat of Utah.

Somewhere in between there’s been elk hunting in New Mexico, time around dude ranches in Colorado, and nights playing bluegrass in Nashville.

When he’s not outside, he’s usually behind a bar—most recently managing high-volume operations in New York—learning how to read a room as quickly as he reads a river.

He’s drawn to places that feel a little wild, a little unpredictable, and worth the effort to get to.

This summer, he’s bringing that energy to Copper Harbor—on the water, on the trails, and wherever the next good story starts.
