Meet Taylor – Shop Representative, Shuttle Driver

Taylor grew up in Arvada, Colorado, and recently spent four years in Grand Junction earning her degree in Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology from Colorado Mesa University, with a minor in Environmental Science and Technology. 

In the summer of 2024, she traveled to Brazil as part of the Limelight Rainforest team, where they competed in—and won—the prestigious XPRIZE Rainforest competition. 

Outside the classroom, Taylor made the most of western Colorado’s natural playground. She spent her time skiing, climbing, biking, and backpacking, both for fun and through her work with the CMU Outdoor Program. There, she helped connect students with outdoor recreation while gaining certifications in Wilderness First Response and AIARE Level 1 avalanche safety. 

She’s excited to spend part of her summer in the Keweenaw Peninsula, where she’s looking forward to exploring its unique recreation opportunities and experiencing the rich wildlife that makes this place so magical.
