Adventure Waits For Us All!…As a huge fan of Copper Harbor and a native to this area it is only natural to want to share it with family and friends. In June my cousin, from Howell Michigan, gave our family a huge surprise by showing up in Houghton. We were all excited as we’ve only seen him briefly and in passing in the past couple of years due to his tour of duty outside the US via the Marine Cor. So naturally, being his older cousin, I had to return the surprise and decided, without him knowing, to rent him a mountain bike from Keweenaw Adventure Company (where I am a part-time sea kayak guide). I had to show him what us tough Yoopers are all about!He had never mountain biked before but was a complete natural. First we visited the Michigan Tech Trails where he did the time trial trail and quickly he moved on to the the dirt jumps. Crazy kid! By the end of his stay he was like, “Well I’m probably gonna have to buy a mountain bike now.” I wanted to especially thank my employers and coworkers for helping me pick out a great bike for him and really enhancing his UP adventure! You guys Rock!
